Macintosh OS X PPPoE Client

  1. This software is recommended for those users with an Ethernet type ADSL modem (eg. D-Link DSL-300, Alcatel Speed Touch Home). Please note that this software is not supported by TADAust Connect's call centre.

  1. Click the Apple menu and choose System Preferences.

  1. In the System Preferences window, click Network. Set the Location to Automatic, and Configure to Built-in Ethernet.

  1. Click onto the TCP/IP tab. Choose to Configure using PPP.

  1. Click onto the PPPoE tab
    · Check mark the option Connect using PPPoE
    · Enter TADAust Connect ADSL Connection for the Service Provider
    · Leave the PPPoE Service Name blank.
    · In Account Name - Enter your TADAust Connect username followed by "@tadaust.org.au" (i.e. username@tadaust.org.au)
    · In Password: Enter your password as supplied by TADAust Connect
    · Check the option Show PPPoE status in menu bar

  1. Click the PPPoE Options button. Check these two Session options, all other session options are your choice:
    · Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications
    · Disconnect when user logs out

  1. Only Send PPP echo packets should be checked in the Advanced Options section. Click OK. Click Apply Now.

  1. To connect to the Internet via PPPoE, click the Right-Left Arrow Icon on the menu bar and select Connect.
